The GO Equipped preparation course for tentmakers has had record attendance this year. The number of participants is up 70 percent since 2017.
We praise God for the great growth we are experiencing. Hopefully the increased number of course participants will give more cross-cultural Kingdom workers in the years to come, says Steinar Opheim, the director of Tent International.
The GO Equipped course is developed in a collaboration between Global Intent and Tent International and has been run annually in several nations the past 15 years. The past two years, the course numbers have grown rapidly, mostly due to the establishment of Tent resource centers in new nations.
Nigeria on top
Last year we were amazed that we had had a new record attendance with 154 students. We did not imagine that the attendance would grow to 262 already this year, says Opheim.
The GO Equipped courses this year have been held in Brazil, Nigeria, India, Norway, Germany and the Dominican Republic. Nigeria tops the list with a total of 74 participants at two courses, followed by Brazil with 68.
Our aim is that 20 percent of those coming to our courses will go as tentmakers. By the grace of God and through hard work I feel sure that we can make it. Then there will be more than 50 new tentmakers coming out of our courses just this year. One day we will hopefully see the impact they have had for the kingdom, says Opheim.
Going further
He expects that the course participation will continue to grow also next year.
Our branches in India, Nigeria, Liberia, the Dominican Republic and Brazil are working really well. New branches are being planned and already in February we will do our first ever GO Equipped-course in South Africa. So we expect that the growth will continue.
We strongly believe that business people, professionals and students are key groups God will use to bring the Gospel onwards to new areas. It is an honor to be allowed to take part in the journey of so many people, says Tent International´s director.

I thank the Lord for the increased ministry…..indeed may many more come to do the course.
