Paul’s Evangelism “Method”

Christians often wonder, “If evangelism is the responsibility of every Christian (Mt. 10:32,33), why doesn’t the New Testament give us more help with it? It does, on nearly every page! But you won’t find it if you are looking for techniques. Paul’s basic evangelism is in Col 4:5, 6: “Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one.” His method consists of a godly lifestyle combined with answering questions which that lifestyle arouses in non-believers!

So Paul gives much instruction about lifestyle-about godliness in the workplace, in families, in social life, etc. Employees were to provide personal integrity, caring relationships, and tactful comments about God.

GO Equipped ready in online format

If you act quickly, you can still join the course that started this week. Registrations are open till Friday.

The web-based course has been planned for years, but high demand for the live version of GO Equipped has made it difficult to set aside to develop the highly acclaimed course for an online format. The Corona-pandemic has changed the picture. Module 1 of the online course is already developed and tested on a group of 20 participants. The first full run of the module started this week.

“Registrations close on Friday, so there is still room to sign up,” says Tent Nigeria’s director, Victor Agbonkpolor.

Podcasts on tentmaking reach far in Brazil

Thousands of people are introduced to tentmaking through podcasts published by Tent Brazil and irmaos.com.

Podcasts are an incredible way of communicating that is growing around the world,” says Tent Brazil’s director, Gustavo Borges. A friend of his, Paulinho Degaspari, is a podcast pioneer in Brazil. His 14-year-old podcast channel is reaching a wide audience across the 200-million South American nation. Together with Tent he is now offering a series of podcasts called “Jet lag” through his channel.

“We invite people who share the Gospel as they work or study outside of Brazil to tell their stories. The program is held in a light and funny way, still providing a lot of rich content. For now, we have made 12 Jet lag episodes. One of them is in English containing the story of a man from Canada who accidentally became a tentmaker in Asia,” states Borges.

GO Experience gives a taste of tentmaking

Tent Brazil planned to do GO Experience seminars all over Brazil. When the corona-pandemic hit the nation, they had to come up with new solutions.

“The response from people taking the seminar, has been overwhelming,” says Tent Brazil’s director, Gustavo Borges. No one had foreseen that the corona pandemic would stop the well-thought-out seminar plans made by Tent Brazil’s team. It was this team that created the GO Experience name, and everyone were looking forward to presenting the seminar content across their nation.
