This was the first ever GOEquipped Tentmaking course held in the spectacularly beautiful countryside near Bratislava, Slovakia. We felt the presence of the Lord through these intense long days as eager professionals wanted to learn more about using their skills in missions. 

We were so impressed by the Berea facility and staff that we have decided to promote it widely for other agencies to consider. It truly is a hidden gem to bring your teams for retreats and training. There are many forest trails for hiking and exploring. 

Here are some details:

In 2004, the Lord led the team to purchase an old building that had served as a government employee retreat centre in the recreational area of Harmónia near Modra town (~ 30 km from the capital city of Bratislava). A long process of reconstruction began in order for the centre to fulfil its new purpose of organizing Christian camps, conferences, Bible and missions courses. 

BEREA can accommodate 55 people in 21 rooms in addition to roll-out beds for children. There is a well-equipped auditorium for all the conference needs as well as smaller conference rooms available for various meetings of different groups of guests. The food services and accommodation are provided with a sincere desire to exceed expectations of our guests while we comply with all the requirements given by the law in terms of technical, hygiene and safety rules.

We hope to return to this facility for our tentmaking courses in the future. Indeed this place has been consecrated for the Lord’s work. He dwelt there with us.
