One Year Anniversary

Do you remember the day you walked down the aisle and said “I do?” Did you wonder, what have I got myself into? Can I keep this commitment?

Then came the first year anniversary. You could look back and see how you made it through the first year and how great it was. Creating a new publication entails some of those same feeling. Though not with the same weight of importance.

Beginnings

Tentmaking Today is celebrating its first anniversary. It began September 2017. It was built on the legacy of Tentmaking Briefs. It is open to the entire tentmaking community. Different organizations and points of view are represented. Continue reading

Gustavo Borges spoke at training events in Ecuador

We are now seeing the birth of what can easily become a South American tentmaking movement, believes Gustavo Borges.

Gustavo aims at building a South American tentmaking movement

He is the father of four, owns a recently opened coffee shop, works in an insurance company, and has just started a tentmaking resource center in his own nation. Gustavo Borges still wants to see more things happening.

Last month he served as the keynote speaker at several tentmaking events in Ecuador. More than 200 people took part at the gatherings where they were introduced to tentmaking ideas. Continue reading

33% of the world’s population have have no reasonable expectation to hear about Jesus

A new video answers the question, “why do tentmaking?” There are three main reasons.

  • ACCESS – A way to enter parts of the world that deny visas and entrance for vocational religious workers. 3.1 Billion people have no reasonable access to the gospel. Most of the least reached live in areas that do not allow vocational religious workers. No wonder they are ignorant of the Gospel. Tentmakers have no closed doors.
