The Problem
Many people got their introduction and start in tentmaking through a GO Equipped course.
While GO Equipped has trained thousands to be tentmakers through Global Intent and Tent only a small percentage have actually gone. Many left the course enthused about becoming tentmakers, but then lost their enthusiasm. Others went to the field only to return discouraged.
Historically, the programs offered informal mentoring for those who chose to stay in contact.
It seemed that only the most self-driven survived and thrived. Many did not follow through.
Something was missing.
The Analysis
Closer analysis revealed that many felt like they needed a helping hand. They needed more support and someone helping them each step of the way to follow through with their intentions.
There was informal support, but they needed more. They needed re-assurance that they were part of a community and that they were part of a bigger movement.
The Solution
Tent International and Global Intent now fill that void with the GO Together program. Now members of the tentmaking movement can join together in a global fraternity/network for mutual support and mentoring.
The program launched earlier this year has been well received by those who have heard about it. BUT many in the tentmaking community still do not know about this new resource. As more tentmakers join the services will expand and adapt to the community’s needs.
